A very young Marie Brush was sitting on the edge of her wealthy family yacht when a rough wave hit and threw her overboard. As she sank, she saw such beauty in the water around her it took her breath away… almost permanently. Luckily one of the ship's crew dived into the water and saved her, but from that moment on, Marie became obsessed with all things aquatic. She got a college degree in oceanography and immediately switched to art, where her work attracted the attention of galleries around the world. Her latest installation, Underwater Trails, involves the creation of Vita, a sentient aquatic robot capable of creating beautiful color trails floating in the water.
